Welcome to the Huntington Beach RV Campground

The newly named Huntington Beach RV Campground is the ultimate place to stay for your Huntington Beach experience. Explore 10 miles of beach, or just relax while watching waves roll in as the sun goes down behind the Huntington Beach Pier from your campsite. Roll up to our iconic oceanfront, and wake up to the sound of waves. From the surf crashing on the sand, to the Pier, to an assortment of restaurants, there are many ways to enjoy your stay at the Huntington Beach RV Campground.

Beachfront Camping

This popular beachside campground is located just south of the Huntington Beach Pier between 1st Street and Huntington Street, within the Huntington City Beach Parking Lot. The facility is extremely popular with the RV community due to its epic views and close proximity to the pier and downtown area.

There is plenty to do near the Huntington Beach RV Campground: Chill with your friends around a beach bonfire, learn to surf, start up a beach volleyball game, cruise the boardwalk on your bike, or eat, drink and shop your way through downtown and Pacific City.

The Huntington Beach RV Campground is open September 3 through May 31 (closed June 1 through September 2). Reservations can be made up-to three months before the date you wish to arrive.

Camping season is September 3 through May 31

Reservations may be made online until the day before the arrival date.

Camping reservations will be accepted in person for less than 24 hours before the desired arrival date at the camping gate.

Campground reservations will be available three months prior to your arrival date at 8am. (For instance: Reservations for October 4 will be available on July 4 at 8am.)

30’ Beachfront RV Camping Spot

Accommodates RVs that are no more than 30 feet in total length*.

Up to 45’ Camping Spot

Accommodates RVs up to 45 feet in total length*.

*Total length means the total length of the RV, including bike racks, trailer tongues, and anything that may add to the length of the RV.

Campground Rates

All fees must be paid in full when making a reservation.

Standard rate

Sunday–Thursday: $75 per night

Friday–Saturday: $100 per night

Holidays*: $100 per night

*Holidays include federal holidays, the week leading up to Thanksgiving

and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Discounts Available

Senior (62+) / Disabled*

$10 discount per night

*Must show ID for Senior and/or valid placard for Disabled discount. Eligible registered camper must be the occupant of the site in order to receive the discount.

Reservations & Cancellations

Reservation Policy

  • The Huntington Beach RV Campground is open September 3 through May 31.

  • Reservations can only be made online at hbrv.org.

  • No phone-in reservations.

  • Only two campsites may be booked per reservation.

  • The arrival date may only be advanced (based on availability) and not reduced once a reservation is made.

  • Maximum stay per month is 14 nights. Five (5) nights must elapse before re-entering. This applies to the operator of the RV, all occupants and the RV itself.

  • Campers can guarantee their site choice by selecting the Site Lock option when booking a reservation.

  • Campers who do not select the Site Lock option are subject to site reassignment at the discretion of City staff.

Cancellation Policy

  • A $25 cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations made over two (2) days prior to the date of arrival.

  • Cancellations requested within two (2) days of the date of arrival will be assessed a fee of the first (1) night’s rate.

  • Cancellations can be made online up to 24 hours in advance of the entry date.

Campground Rules & Regulations

Making a reservation at the HBRV Campground indicates that you agree to the below policies.

  • Check-in time is between 2:00pm and 10:00pm.

  • Check-out time is 12:00pm.

  • Gate closes at 10:00pm.

  • Failure to check-in on entry date will result in the cancellation of the entire stay and forfeiture of reservation fees.

  • Maximum occupancy per campsite is one (1) recreational vehicle, one (1) extra vehicle under 22ft, and eight (8) persons. Additional vehicles and guests must pay the current day-use fee. Campsites cannot be reserved unless occupied by an RV.

  • Dogs must be kept on a leash and under a responsible person’s control at all times and are not allowed on the sand.

  • Factory-built, self-contained RV’s only. Must include running water, internal flushable toilet with holding tank, shower and cooking facilities. No conversions, tent camping or cassette toilets allowed.

  • Front-row spaces will only accommodate RV’s up to 30 feet in length (24 feet in sites 2 and 20). Second-row spaces will only accommodate RV’s up to 45 feet in length. All lengths include overhang.

  • All RV’s parked in the front row campsites (1 thru 20) must back into their spaces and may not overhang the marked yellow safety lines. This policy is strictly enforced.

  • Fire pits must be a minimum of 8 inches off the ground.

  • Quiet hours are between 10:00pm and 6:00am.

Amenities & Attractions

  • Water and electricity are available at each site. All spaces include 30 and 50 amp connections.

  • Disposal Station is centrally located.

  • Fire pits are available on the beach between 5:00am and 10:00pm.

  • Pier, beach, Downtown/Pacific City shopping and dining.

  • Public restrooms are available between 7:00am and 10:00pm.
